Automation PHP Software Tester (QA)

Yerevan, Armenia

Intertech is looking for an experienced Automation PHP Software Tester (QA) who will be responsible for developing automated and manual test to ensure the product quality. The successful candidate will design, develop and execute tests, write manual test cases and create reports with the test results.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Design, plan and implement test automation standards and strategies;
• Assess software quality through manual and automated testing;
• Research new testing technologies, develop cutting-edge automation and provide product enhancements and/or recommendations;
• Check and find malfunctions;
• Suggest procedures to get PHP code clean;
• Write, execute, and maintain automated tests for a large-scale SaaS product;
• Write, execute, and maintain test cases that will be used for manual tests;
• Understand feature requirements and turn them into automated/manual test cases;
• Define and communicate the accurate automation test plan/test scripts and provide qualitative and quantitative status/defect reports;
• Track and analyze test results and work closely with the developers to isolate and reproduce defects;
• Troubleshoot bugs not exposed through the normal development process, identify their cause and improve the process to avoid the same issue in the future;
• Log, monitor, document and close issues in defect-tracking system.

Skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study;
• Passion for performing manual tests, as well as automating the test cases as much as possible;
• At least 5 years of experience testing software;
• At least 3 years creating and designing tests for APIs (REST, RPC, etc);
• At least 2 years of experience working within Agile environment. Understanding of Agile SDLC;
• At least 2 years of SQL experience, specifically joining tables and writing basic queries;
• At least 2 years of development experience;
• Exposure to development or test automation tools/frameworks;
• A keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills;
• Proficiency in PHP language;
